Responsibilities The Technical Consultant will work with customers to position Elanco as the partner of choice by delivering exceptional technical expertise, market leading product solutions, scientifically sound research studies, and value beyond product including consulting, analytics, diagnostics, and market access support.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing Support Work closely with customers and serve as an active member of account teamsIdentify and position opportunities for customers to use Elanco productsActively participate in account planning and incorporate Elanco’s value strategyParticipate in the development and deployment of training events and materialsAide in the planning and preparation for new product launchesImplement Elanco’s value strategy at the customer level
Customer and Technical LeadershipTrain and coach Elanco personnel on disease, products, and industry practicesBuild relationships with and influence external customers, consultants and academicsIdentify avenues to deliver value beyond product to customers and ElancoMaintain good standing with and influence of key industry organizations
Research and InnovationConduct research utilizing approved Elanco productsAlign research with business needs and brand specific lifecycle planningEnsure publication of research studies in scientific meetings and peer reviewed journalsAssist with R&D requests and product line extensions
Business Leadership Effectively communicate within technical team and account teamsIdentify opportunities and threats for customers and ElancoInfluence long range strategy and product positioningIdentify external talent for technical and other roles within Elanco
Basic Qualifications DVM with 5 years of animal health or agricultural production experienceValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is requiredQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Additional Information This is a telecommuter role supporting the Western Cornbelt (Iowa/Nebraska/Minnesota).
