Responsibilities Business Unit Overview:
Elanco has established a new Business Unit to expand the access to and availability of Elanco’s innovative Animal medicine and wellness products worldwide. Our products are, and will be, distributed in multiple channels, including various ecommerce channels.Role Overview:
The e-commerce customer marketer will drive ecommerce digital marketing strategy, ensure brand strategy and retailer specific strategies are aligned for highest financial impact. This individual will be responsible for supporting the online product and sales strategies for the business unit and retail partners, working as part of a team to help to create and deploy digital marketing strategies, tailored to individual retailers to increase conversion & sales.Essential Job Functions: In consultation with the leadership team, lead the customer marketing planning process for ecommerce accounts to deliver plans that include account/channel objectives, strategies & tactics.Develop and execute distinct, breakthrough customer marketing solutions for designated ecommerce accounts that are grounded in shopper insights, address retailer/shopper needs and get executed with excellence along the shopper journey, including pre-shop, and omnichannel experiences.Build deep, collaborative partnerships with designated Customer Teams and provide thought leadership on ecommerce and shopper insights.Influence and collaborate with Brand Marketing providing thought leadership and education on ecommerce/shopper insights and customer marketing plans and programs with ecommerce retailers.Create, implement and monitor conversion rate optimization strategies for ecommerce partnersIn partnership with finance, provide accurate reports and analysis to management to demonstrate effective return on investmentSpecific Responsibilities include: Develop strong partnerships with agencies, leading them through program development and execution by providing clear, concise direction and inspiring them to deliver great workPartner with Key Account Manager on sales calls and selling customer marketing solutions into account decision makers.Build relationships within the ecommerce retailer’s marketing organization leading to mutually beneficial solutions and action plans.Evaluate developed solution effectiveness, and ensure continuous improvement and best practice sharing.Create, implement and monitor digital marketing strategies for our brands both directly and through ecommerce partnersUsing web analytics tools to monitor performance of retailer specific campaigns and make recommendations for improvementMaintain brand guidelines at all timesEnsure all digital artwork and items are on brand and delivered on timeSupport internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to specifications and deadlines.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or BusinessMinimum 5 yrs. marketing experience including both digital and eCommerceQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
