Responsibilities Elanco is embarking upon a project to implement SAP S/4 globally. The selected candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert for back-end P2P business processes related to supplier master data, PO creation, invoice processing, Accounts Payable management, disbursements, controls, reporting, and other activities related to the P2P Process.
The primary focus of the SME in this role will be providing integration between business and IT, influencing the global process design for P2P and how SAP will be deployed to deliver a streamlined, efficient, automated, and user-friendly process for business users and suppliers. The role focuses on adapting the standard SAP processes to match business requirements, and acting as the bridge between the SAP S/4 Systems Integrator, the procurement organization, and business users.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Business Process ExpertiseDevelop an understanding of business needs by interacting with global, regional, and local business partners (Global Process Owner, Power Users, Procurement, and Finance).Be the business process expert to automate, standardize, and streamline downstream P2P processes in the following areas:
Support the P2P GPO to understand Business and Procurement/Sourcing needs, strategies, expectations of internal and external customers, and be the bridge between them and the GBS execution teamWork with IT and the Systems Integrator to understand system capabilities, match process requirements, and be the voice of the GBS and Business with IT
- Supplier registration and on-boarding
- Processing requisitions and creating & issuing Purchase Orders
- Researching and resolving exceptions
- P-Card processes
- Receiving, validating, and processing supplier invoices
- Escalation and inquiry handling
- Accounts payable management
- Exception handling
Process Governance, Documentation, and Training Materials:Follow and implement the governance process to evaluate and approve process localization / customization requestsDevelop/adapt detailed process documentation Develop/adapt training materials and provide user education and trainingDrive process standardization and adoption of standard SAP functionality Integrate controls into process design, documentation, and training materials
Project Support and Delivery:Participate in SAP and allied systems build and configurationParticipate in developing business scenarios and scripts for testing, and drive IIT and FITParticipate in cutover and support go-live and stabilizationDeliver key project milestones for SAP implementation
Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree Minimum of 3 years experience in Purchase to Pay process execution with SAP, including PO issuance, invoice processing, disbursements, and other back-end processes and activitiesQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Additional Information Some global travel may be involved, particularly in the second half of 2020This position is not permanent.
